FIRE DAMAGEFIRE_DAMAGE.html

On November 16, 1999, Dianne Kehler faced one of the most devastating personal tragedies possible.  A fire gutted her new home.  By the day’s end, there was nothing left but a charred building.  Faced with the immense task of rebuilding her home and her life, Dianne realized that there were few places to go for help.

In February 2001, Dianne converted tragedy into triumph when she started her business, Remedics Restoration.  Starting with only one employee, she began a mission to help people handle their own personal tragedies of fire damage, while also expanding to address the needs of people with water and mold damage.  Since then, her customer base has grown from homeowners to now include builders, contractors, and insurance companies, fast-tracking Remedics Restoration into a multi-million dollar company.  While maintaining the atmosphere of a small company, with only 16 employees, Dianne has developed the reputation and the performance to that of a large corporation.

Facing the challenge of being a woman in the construction industry, typically a male-dominated field, Dianne overcame the barriers with an easy-going mannerism and an honesty that has created a reputation for her and the company that is beyond reproach.  Her personal motto is to “do only the work that needs to be done, not what doesn’t and to do it right the first time.”  Dianne’s cost-effective techniques, professional approach and timely response are highly appreciated by her customers, who want to be able to return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.

Remedics Restoration, under Dianne’s careful guidance and planning, has certifications from the IICRC, Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification in fifteen categories and is an affiliate member of the BIA, NAHB, ACGIH, AIHA, ISCT and ICC.  The Better Business Bureau also recognizes Remedics Restoration.  This past year, Dianne took the company to a new level of expertise by introducing a state-of-the-art process for restoration and mold remediation, media blasting.  The first in Columbus and one of only two companies in Ohio to utilize this process, Dianne recently received approval by the Ohio Historical Society to use this method to restore historical buildings.

In July 2006, Dianne expanded the Remedics operation into North and South Carolina.  With a 10,000 SF facility that includes warehouse, offices and training center, Remedics is fully prepared to handle whatever Mother Nature sends.

Dianne continues to further expand her knowledge and education through continuing education in all related fields to the restoration and building science industries.  She currently holds the following designations with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration:
